My review of the transcription service I’m using

I’m working on a project to transcribe about 2,800 hours of a daily public radio I produced between 2000 and 2012. I chose Transcript LOL because of features, price, and customer service. I’m about halfway through the project. The service does high quality transcripts. When you identify one voice in transcript it identifies that person throughout. But the feature I really like provides a detailed time stamp summary of major points with speakers identified. You can also use built-in AI to add queries to summaries.

I found the $120 price for one year good. When I initially used the help feature I got responses from a bot, which were not very good. But after a while a staff person began answering queries promptly and well. I found that personal service very unusual and welcome from a tech company.

Check out Transcript LOL here. Your mileage may very. If you have a service you find better, hit me back.

Full disclosure — I get a reward if you sign up.
