Happy Birthday Carrie Brownstein!
Carrie Brownstein (Born September 27 1974) is in the rock band Sleater Kinney. She was the co-star and co-creator with Fred Armisen of the sketch comedy program Portlandia. I spoke with her about her memoir ‘Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl’ which recalls the burgeoning and very different rock scenes in Olympia, Portland, and Seattle.
